Hello Friends! You know when you really want to do something big, but there’s always some seemingly more important thing to do? Like sorting mail. Or washing dishes. Well, how it works for me is I get the vision for the something big in a kind of simmering way, which over time becomes a slow boil, and then finally a rolling boil. I usually have to wait for the right time for the thing to bubble up to the surface.
So it’s finally time to do some things I’ve been meaning to do.
Like writing a cookbook. Or starting a blog. Or writing down things you want to remember for the cookbook you want to write, or writing down the things you talk about with your friends, and in this case, your customers so you can put it all together, perfect bound. So it can live on a shelf in a bookstore. Or the bedside table a friend who needs to know how to make soup. Or on the coffee table of the family of a well-loved and much-missed customer who passed away, so they can know her through a favorite menu item and some conversations I can remember having with her.
It’s time to talk about food…how to make it yummy, memorable, on the fly, reverently, as a gift, as a thing that not only nourishes the body, but also the mind, the soul and the spirit.
This will be the place to check each week for a few, some and all of these things. I hope to end up with something you can hold in your hand, read with a cup of tea, give to friends, and spill stuff on. Thanks for visiting.
